Even tradition says Kayamkulam Philipose Remban is the first translator of Bible. For the last 198 years the people of Adoor Kannamkode Church has been celeberating Remban's Sradha perunnal on Thulam 26 every year. He spend his last years at Adoor and his tomb inside the church is conisdered as a sacred place. "Palli Chatham" (slang of Sradham)is one of the important celebration of this area.
