Prose of Malayalam Hymn by P. Thomas, Piravom.
All the Malayalam Hymns of the Sunday Liturgy of the Orthodox Syrian Church of India, including the Holy Eucharist are paraphrased in prose, especially for the laity, Choir, teachers and students of the Sunday schools etc. This may help to understand the true meaning of the hymns and to participate in the liturgies meaningfully.

The effort needs to be lauded and what Mr Thomas has done is really wonderful in as much as that if properly recognized by the Holy Synod with corrections or editing, can be used in our worships with two distinct advantages. (1)On such days where there is a need to celebrate the Holy Qurbana in say 30 to 45 miutes, this prose version can be used. (2) On using this prose version once in a while, people can understand the liturgy better.
Apart from these, page 79 describes Mosses being called from Nebo to the Mount of Transfiguration. This is given exactly so in the peom version, but there we can treat this as a poetic imagination. In prose, we must be more specific because Mosses can never be waiting at Nebo all those years. He would fave been taken to paradise, no doubt.
