Parumala Thirumeni is not acharacter to be made as a serial. It is an insult to the Orthodox Community if this serial is permitted. The church authorities must stop this serial and should not allow anyone even talk about this idea. For us Parumala Thirumeni is a Saint and we should pray to him rather than showing him on TV screen. The Orthodox church must stop this proposed program with high priority and urgency. You may call me as narrow minded man but one must not hurt others feelings.
We are still in a learning process in understanding Parumala Thirumeni. He is a great SAINT, who can never be limited to a screen.We take him to our hearts.We can never visualise him elsewhere. At any cost, we MUST stop this mega serial non sense. Parumala Thirumeni belongs to ALL faithful believers. As such, who can give permission to make this serial? None has such authority.
I am Jacobite and a tru follower of Parumala Thirumeni. I think at least in this case both(MOSC and IOC) must take a unified satnd that St. Parumala Thirumeni is not for sale by showing ad with half dressed models before and intervals of the serial. The leadership should make a formal complaint that officially recognised saint of Malankara Sabha(in both cases) should not be screend in TV or cinema.
If the catholic Bishops were against a serial for Sr. Alphonsa, then who allowed for shooting at Bharananganam Church. Like that if our church (atleast leadership) i against such a serial about Parumala thirumeni, then dont allow to shoot at Parumala church.
We, being the follwers of Thirumeni can make a documentry/short film which proclaims what our thirumeni was & what all he has done to the church & people...dont believe the mega serials which is only time pass stuff...like to know the motive behind this making to be done...

In kadamattathu kathanar serial there were lot of imaginary stories which were not related to church matters, the way it telecasted was kdamattachan was a manthrican-cum-spiritual leader
So in this serial also there will be lot of imaginary stories which will never be part of Thirumeni's life. Rather it would be based on kettukatha to emotionalise people to entice to watch tv
A few decades ago one of the orthodox church member ,who was a film producer or director from a well known family in central travancore started some film shooting in the parumala seminary premises (as told by my mother),couldn't complete the shooting before which he died.Parumala thirumeni wants to remain there only in that soil,he does not want to move from there.If anyone does he/she will be called to rest in peace.If I am not mistaken parumala thirumenis soul was against the construction of the existing church, as all the godly spirit vanished from the church.Yes it is true to an extend.So don't play with the saints life.
